P.N. (National Police), catched two inmates that were involved in committing fraud via phone and social networks

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic.- Members of the National Police catched two inmates at the National Penitentiary of La Victoria who dedicated themselves to commit fraud against other people by telephone and through social networks.

They are Jancel Yoel Almonte (Chevalier) and Fanklin Andrés Florentino (Zacatecas) who were caught by members of the Crime Investigation Department and High Technology Crimes (DICAT), accompanied by the prosecutor, Pedro Amador Innocent Espinosa.

The requisition of prisoners was carried out by members DICAT by the warrant number 0294-A-2015.

Inmates imprisoned in the cells 1 and 2 of the Vietnam sector of La Victoria prison, where they were occupied four cell phones of different makes and models, a bank card Visa, and 6 chips of two telephone companies.

A preliminary report on the case reveals that Jancel Yoel Almonte stole the identities of different people who cheated, while Franklin Andrés Florentino facilitated bank accounts to receive the stolen deposits.

Inmates are investigated in DICAT in order to establish whether committed other crimes and if these other people involved.
