The remains of a rocket falling on a Chinese housing

A house in northern China was severely damaged after being hit by a rocket debris released minutes earlier from a nearby base, reported state television CCTV.

The incident occurred on Thursday night, nine minutes after the Chinese space program put in orbit the satellite remote control and monitoring of fields Yaogan-27 in downtown launches Taiyuan (Shanxi Province, north) .

Although the launch was successful, parts of propellant rocket were detached and reached a nearby house in the small town of Ankang, which opened a large hole in the roof and entered one of the rooms. The piece belongs to a shuttle rocket "Long March-4C", typically used by China for its space missions. The Chinese government plans to pay compensation to those affected by such accidents, which by now haven't been reported injuries.
